When you think of German culture a lot of what comes to mind is actually Bavarian. This southeastern region of the country is home to Oktoberfest, Lederhosen and Bratwurst. Munich is the main city and self-proclaimed capital. When it comes to food the Germans love meat and particularly sausage. It goes excellently with their beer you see. A Bavarian feast is an age-old way of getting groups of men well fed and prepared for drinking. It has literally had centuries of testing for this purpose. This makes it perfect for a sag weekend.
Your group will be met by a guide who will show you the way to the feast location. Your table will hold everyone and will big enough to hold all the food your heart desires. The table is reserved for two hours, giving you plenty of time to try all the Bavarian treats on offer and to have some great banter with your group. To make sure the conversation is flowing right from the start you will get some welcome drinks!
There is an assumption that you have to head over to Germany for a great Bavarian feast. I mean, I can understand why, but nowadays you can head over to the Bierkeller Haus on a Newcastle stag do and enjoy your Schweinshaxe, Schweinebraten or Weisswurst sausages (yep, I had to Google the spelling for each one of those). These beer halls have been setup to mirror the German legendary bars that you'll find during Oktoberfest.
Of course, nothing beats the real thing and we can strongly recommend a Munich stag do, where you will enjoy a traditional Bavarian feast right alongside other German groups. Prost! (that means cheers in Germany, don't forget it as you will hear it at every bar). With a 2 hour table reservation, you have plenty of time to tuck back on all that meaty food and enjoy the Steine's, which make our pints look miniature.
If you fancy mixing it up a little and don't want to be amongst the crowds, then there are other places in Germany where a Bavarian feast can be enjoyed, such as on a Hamburg stag weekend. A 1 litre beer will certainly get each member of the group off their faces, while the roast pork with dark beer sauce is absolutely dreamy. You should let your event manager know in advance if anyone in the group has any dietary requirements, so they can prepare in advance for your arrival and ensure they have something they can enjoy.
