Our directors are committed to maintaining a people-before-profit culture. We are team-centric and genuinely care about each and every one of our employees. That’s why the average tenure of our team is five years, with some people having been with us for over a decade!
We strive to be creative in our approach to engagement and motivation, so we can cultivate an environment of support, appreciation, feedback - and fun.
By embracing difference and prioritising employee wellbeing, we’ve built a company culture built on togetherness and inclusion. As a result, we have an engaged, knowledgeable, and passionate team, who genuinely enjoy coming to work!
We strive to offer a safe, nurturing environment where people can grow and develop. We recognise that people have different life and career experiences and can bring value to the table, outside of their day-to-day remit.
We understand that trust is a two-way street, so we do our best to offer transparency, share business performance, ask for feedback and ensure that our interactions are always respectful and purposeful. At The Stag Company, everyone’s voice is heard and everyone’s input is valued, no matter their job role or level of seniority within the organisation.
We always have focussed business goals in sight and our managers take time to map out employee objectives, support personal development pathways, and ensure that every individual understands the bigger picture and recognises where they can add value.
We understand that juggling priorities can be difficult, so we aim to offer flexibility and autonomy wherever possible. We have a small private office within Projects Lanes, a welcoming co-working space in central Brighton. Our team can book a desk in the office, work from the beautiful communal spaces around the building, or work from home - it doesn’t matter to us, as long as jobs get done to a high standard.
There are solid working relationships and a strong teamwork ethic across the company, which has an ongoing positive effect on business success and helps to bring a little extra magic to our working environment!
We hold regular team socials, have access to classes and events via the Projects community, and take time to organise and support local fundraising initiatives. Plus, we’re sometimes lucky enough to sample the exciting products that we sell!
We genuinely care about every one of our employees. We place a real focus on employee wellbeing, our leaders are always on hand with a listening ear, and we provide a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme, for when life simply gets a bit too much.
