If you fancy yourself as a bit of a Robin Hood character, and you’re interested in practicing your aim and fire with your group of merry men, then we definitely recommend that you get a session of archery booked in for your stag weekend. It’s an ancient sport which dates back many centuries, and although you may think it looks like an easy activity, archery requires a steady hand, in addition to copious amount of concentration; so it’s essential that you pay full attention to your instructor, who will give top tips on how to perfect your technique, a quick demonstration and a safety briefing featuring those all-important do’s and don’ts. Get ready for your competitive streak to emerge amongst your group of stags and see who will be the first lad to hit a bullseye. We offer archery sessions across a whole host of popular destinations across the UK, so you’ll have a whole load of choices to pick from. So, pick up your bow and arrow, and get ready to get fired up for one memorable stag activity – and let us tell you now, there’s certainly no chance of firing blanks with this one!
Archery
Calling all Robin Hood wannabes, this activity is a test of strength and accuracy and will certainly sort the mice from the men. Spend an hour aiming for that bullseye after a training and safety brief. Drinking alcohol is prohibited before and during so save those ice cold beers for later! Closed toe shoes and comfortable clothing are a must.

Xtreme Archery
Some combinations just work. Think Sutton and Shearer, Sherringham and Shearer, Shola and Shearer (well.. maybe not). And there’s some fantastic pairings of Birmingham stag do activities as well such as football and golf (see our footgolf activities) or drinking and drinking (see every stag ever). But the new ‘must’ activity for stags who love some action and adrenaline pumping is Xtreme archery, which is a blend of dodgeball and archery.
Your instructor will explain the rules but basically, you’re unleashed into a battlezone with plenty of objects to hide behind. At one side of the zone is your team, at the other are your opponents, in the centre are a large number of arrows. You’re equipped with a bow and given the goal to knock out the opposition.
It’s high paced and exciting combat as you dodge arrows and fire your own in return. Designed with special rubber tips that absorb the impact these arrows pack a real punch, but you’re unlikely to end up covered in bruises.
Things get tactical as you run low on arrows and have to continually keep trying to flank your foes in one of the most unmissable stag activities around.
