You get the standard Travelodge experience of clean rooms and great value, but you’re smack bang in the middle of the fanciest part of the city. Queen Street runs behind the George Street, with its smart bars full of beautiful people. The next major road in front of this is the main drag of Princes Street, which faces the famous castle on a rock, and Princes Street Gardens, where you can chill on the grass in summer. The train station is less than half a mile away and the bus station is even closer.
This Travelodge doesn’t have a Bar Café, but you are close to loads of restaurants and fast food joints, and spoiled for choice for drinking establishments. The hotel has been updated with a fresh new look and Dreamer beds for a great night’s sleep.
Each room has an en-suite shower/bath and WC, a TV, toiletries, and tea and coffee making facilities. Hairdryers and irons are available at reception, where you can also store valuables.
The hotel is centrally heated and smoking is not allowed. WiFi is free for the first 30 minutes everyday, and payable after that.
There is no bar or restaurant, but refreshments can be bought from well-stocked vending machines at all times.
