If you fancy yourself as a bit of a Robin Hood character, and you’re interested in practicing your aim and fire with your group of merry men, then we definitely recommend that you get a session of archery booked in for your stag weekend. It’s an ancient sport which dates back many centuries, and although you may think it looks like an easy activity, archery requires a steady hand, in addition to copious amount of concentration; so it’s essential that you pay full attention to your instructor, who will give top tips on how to perfect your technique, a quick demonstration and a safety briefing featuring those all-important do’s and don’ts. Get ready for your competitive streak to emerge amongst your group of stags and see who will be the first lad to hit a bullseye. We offer archery sessions across a whole host of popular destinations across the UK, so you’ll have a whole load of choices to pick from. So, pick up your bow and arrow, and get ready to get fired up for one memorable stag activity – and let us tell you now, there’s certainly no chance of firing blanks with this one!
Xtreme Archery
Let the battle commence on the stag do to Edinburgh with a brilliant and adrenaline packed session of Xtreme Archery. It’s like archery but not as you know it! This version is far more competitive and is a combination of dodgeball and archery, where you’ll get to shoot at your fellow stags and run around like maniacs to score points.
On the day, you’ll make your way to a great venue, where you’ll be met by an experienced instructor, who will give you a safety briefing and run through all the rules of the activity with you. All equipment will be provided for the session, but please do make sure that you wear comfy clothes on the day.
After that, you’ll be split into teams and will be led out to the battlefield, ready to engage in fierce warfare against the opposing team. It’s a game of strategy and all about point scoring. Each team will have five specially designed bunkers, of which will have cones placed in front of them. Points will be scored for each player eliminated and every shot cone of opposing team – it’s up to your team to come up with a great strategy in order to win!
Don’t worry though, because you won’t be playing with standard arrows – these ones have a rubber tip on the end, so it will absorb the impact when it hits a player, so there won’t be any casualties this stag weekend! This is one stag activity that will be sure to get that heart of yours pumping!

What's Included:
A mixture of Dodgeball and Archery, this is the new 'must' for an adrenaline-packed Stag weekend. Your instructor will explain the rules of the game and get you all set up for the battle-to-end-all-battles!
You will be provided with the following equipment to use: - Bow x 10 and Arrows x 35;
- Helmets x 10;
- Barriers x 5;
- Suitable Bibs and/or clothing in the typical Xtreme manner, with colours to suit each team.

Combat Archery & Beer Goggle Football
Enjoy two laugh-packed stag activities in Edinburgh that will give you and the boys plenty to kid each other about in the pub that evening. You’ll begin with a session of Combat Archery - quite a newcomer on the stag scene but one we think is going to be massive in the next few years. Think of it as like archery combined with dodgeball. You take part in a series of competitive events, but instead of a ball you’re holding a bow and arrows, trying to hit members of the opposing team and knock them out of the game. Make sure the groom-to-be is wearing something nice and bright so you don’t miss. Afterwards, another activity we love, Beer Goggle Football sees you strapping on ridiculous eyewear that hilariously distorts your perspective. Then you’ll try and get the ball in the net with a game of five-a-side footie. If you like having a kickabout with your mates then no doubt you’ve had some memorable moments. This bizarre and fun activity is sure to be right up there.
