London Bubble Football Stag Do's

We know what you’re all thinking. If there’s one thing that’s wrong with the modern game of football, full of over-paid under-educated idiots it’s that they aren’t playing the beautiful game from inside of a mini-zorb. We totally agree.

That’s why you and the lads will be getting to play in this improved version of football on a stag do in London – bubble football! Each member of your team and the opposition will be strapped inside of mini-zorbs which engulf your upper half. If you’ve never seen a zorb before, check out the video to the side, or picture a huge inflatable bubble – with you stuck inside it!

As you might expect, the addition of huge inflatable bubbles slightly affects the way that you play football. Without the use of your arms, your balance has a way of disappearing and you’ll find yourself falling over with an alarming regularity. The large amount of grown men falling over is the only real similarity here to the Premier League, because the tackling is much, much more vicious. You’ll quickly realise that as well as falling over quite a lot in these bubbles, the bubble itself means that you’re sheltered from injury. And you’ll just as quickly realise that this means you can run into your team-mates, opposition, and generally anyone that gets nearby to you at full pelt and send them flying. This new found discovery generally means that your game of football takes just as much from sumo wrestling as it does from footie.

Running into one another is fantastic fun, just remember that this is a stag do – so targeting the groom whenever you get the chance is an absolutely essential part of things.

This kickabout with a difference doesn’t just include a game. As well as getting to play one of the most popular activities around you’ll also get to play in games like Crossbar Challenge, Dizzy Penalties, Zorb Bulldog (yes, that game you got banned from at school, except this time it’s more violent) and Last Man Standing. All of this is run by one of the brilliant expert hosts.

Overall it’s a totally unique experience that’ll have you out of breath and in stitches! And strictly speaking, we guess this counts as exercise? So that means that you can congratulate yourselves for your hard work with a couple extra pints? It’s only fair!

This is one session of kick-a-bout that the lads won’t forget for a long time. Start off with a round of Bubble Football, which has long been one of our most popular and fun stag activities. You’ll be strapped into Zorb-like inflatable balls, so that only your legs are sticking out, then take part in a series of games such as Bulldog, Capture the Flag, Sumo and Last Man Standing, as well as trying to actually get the ball in the net. All while bouncing around the pitch sending each other flying!

Afterwards, enjoy a few rounds of Ballseye. Which is exactly what it sounds like. A giant dart board will be set up on the pitch, and you’ll take it in turns booting a velcro football to see who can score the most points. Each activity is between 60 and 90 minutes depending on your group size, and you’ll have trained coaches at hand to referee as well as make sure there are no balls ups. 
 

This is a brilliant stag combo that will have you and the boys laughing about your experiences well into the night. You’ll start things off with a session of Bubble Football which, if you’re new to the concept, is bizarre and amazingly fun. You’ll each be strapped into a giant inflatable ball so that only your legs are poking out of the bottom. Then you’ll be split into teams for a kick-a-bout, trying to keep your balance while also trying to knock the opposing players off their feet. But don’t worry, soft landings are guaranteed.

After a quick breather, you’ll then line up for a session of Dodgeball. Made famous by the Ben Stiller movie, this event always gets seriously competitive as you try and pick your friends off across a series of challenges. Beware, once people start ‘getting their arm in’, you’ll need to be fast on your feet to dodge them. All the equipment needed for both activities is provided, and you’ll also have trained coaches at hand to referee the games so you can get on with the action.
 

Football mad? On a stag? Then this is the must do addition for your London stag weekend. Combining two of the most popular activities for guys you’ll kick things off, after meeting at a central location, with a game of binocular football. If you’ve never heard of this one basically, as well as strapping on your boots and shinpads you’ll be wearing a stylish pair of goggles. These binocular googles make objects seem either further or nearer than they actually are. This turns your usually silky skills into something… less so. There’ll be a lot of kicking air, a lot of slowly walking towards where you think the ball is, and a lot of laughing at your mates.

Now, as hilarious as binocular football, it has a way of slowing down the beautiful game and makes you resemble [insert team you don’t like]. But don’t worry, you’ll be getting something much more active and fast paced for the second half of this winning formula.

As soon as you’ve got out of your goggles you’ll be getting into a bubble. These mini-zorbs encase your upper half in a layer, meaning that your balance is shot and you don’t have use of your arms. This might seem a disadvantage, and it is. But it’s more than outweighed by the fact that you’re now protected from the outside world and can do things like… say… run full pelt into the stag and knock him over whenever you like? Half sumo wrestling, half footie – all enjoyment.

Football is a game of skill, poise and balance – usually involving the use of all four limbs. But what happens if you take the use of arms out of the equation and stick each player in a giant inflatable sphere down to their knees? Well you and your group will have to wait and see what this involes when you are on site....

After you have finished rolling the stag around for nearly an hour you'll get another opportunity to all have some bow and arrows to shoot at eachother! A mixture of Dodgeball and Archery, this is the new 'must' for an Adrenalin packed Stag weekend. Your instructor will explain the rules of the game and get you set up for the battle to end all battles! 

If you were one of those who never picked up a trophy at school sports day, or were always two left feet when playing footie in the playground, then you’ll find a lot to love about this laugh-packed stag combo activity. First off, a session of Bubble Football. If you’ve never done this before, it’s hilarious. You’ll be strapped into giant inflatable balls with just your legs poking out, then play a ludicrous game of football where every tackle sends you and your opponent flying, only to bounce around completely unharmed. The hard bit is getting back up! 

After you’ve regained your sense of balance and had a quick breather, you’ll love an old-school Sports Day, where the group is divided into ‘Houses’ and then compete against each other in a series of classic games. Sack races, egg and spoon races, wheelbarrow races and of course that traditional favourite: the tug of war. This nostalgic activity is a big favourite with stag groups, letting you unleash your competitive nature in the daftest way possible.
