Newquay Bubble Football Stag Do's

This is a silly sport for Newquay stag groups that are up for a laugh. First we’ll kit out each team member into a big plastic zorb, a large, round outfit, which will make you look and feel a bit like Mr Bounce. The adjustable straps and handgrips will get you ready for action. And once you're up and running you’ll have to work hard to stay that way as you attempt to play a hilarious game of football, while being barged from all sides. You can use your zorb to send your opponents flying as you try to get control of the ball and dribble it into the goal. As well as football and events like Crossbar Challenge and Dizzy Penalties, you can try other daft team and individual challenges, all while dressed as a big ball full of air. 

This is one session of kick-a-bout that the lads won’t forget for a long time. Start off with a round of Bubble Football, which has long been one of our most popular and fun stag activities. You’ll be strapped into Zorb-like inflatable balls, so that only your legs are sticking out, then take part in a series of games such as Bulldog, Capture the Flag, Sumo and Last Man Standing, as well as trying to actually get the ball in the net. All while bouncing around the pitch sending each other flying!

Afterwards, enjoy a few rounds of Ballseye. Which is exactly what it sounds like. A giant dart board will be set up on the pitch, and you’ll take it in turns booting a velcro football to see who can score the most points. Each activity is between 60 and 90 minutes depending on your group size, and you’ll have trained coaches at hand to referee as well as make sure there are no balls ups. 
 

It’s like everyone says – wouldn’t football be much improved if all the players were forced to wear binoculars or play from inside a mini-zorb that encases their entire upper half? What’s that? Nobody says that? Well they should because a bubble football and binocular football experience is a fantastic twist on the beautiful game, and is certain to be one of the more memorable additions to your Newquay stag weekend.

After meeting up at a central location in Newquay you and the lads will be having a kickabout but not as you know it. First your five a side will see you strapping on shinpads, bolting on your boots and grabbing a pair of Xtreme goggles. These fun little devices make objects, like say the ball, appear nearer than they really are. So when that guy on your stag do who always fancies himself as a  bit of a Sunday League Legend tries to hammer in a free kick from outside the area, all he’ll find himself doing is kicking air and falling over. Trust us, watching a group of grown men slowly edging around a pitch after a ball that they’re only 10% sure is actually there is a source of endless hilarity.

And your experience doesn’t end there, the second half of this unbeatable activity sees you and the lads clambering into a mini-zorb. You and the lads will resemble hamsters in balls. With your entire upper half covered in one of these bubbles you can’t use your arms and lack a certain balance. This means that your usually silky dribbling skills are less Gascoine vs Scotland circa ’96 and more Gazza after a few pints circa ’06.

Adding this activity to your Newquay stag do leaves you with banter that continues all the way through your stag. After all you won’t be forgetting that time that the stag falls over in his bubble and ends up stuck on the ground like a turned over turtle.

Football is a game of skill, poise and balance – usually involving the use of all four limbs. But what happens if you take the use of arms out of the equation and stick each player in a giant inflatable sphere down to their knees? Well you and your group will have to wait and see what this involes when you are on site....

After you have finished rolling the stag around for nearly an hour you'll get another opportunity to all have some bow and arrows to shoot at eachother! A mixture of Dodgeball and Archery, this is the new 'must' for an Adrenalin packed Stag weekend. Your instructor will explain the rules of the game and get you set up for the battle to end all battles! 

This is a brilliant stag combo that will have you and the boys laughing about your experiences well into the night. You’ll start things off with a session of Bubble Football which, if you’re new to the concept, is bizarre and amazingly fun. You’ll each be strapped into a giant inflatable ball so that only your legs are poking out of the bottom. Then you’ll be split into teams for a kick-a-bout, trying to keep your balance while also trying to knock the opposing players off their feet. But don’t worry, soft landings are guaranteed.

After a quick breather, you’ll then line up for a session of Dodgeball. Made famous by the Ben Stiller movie, this event always gets seriously competitive as you try and pick your friends off across a series of challenges. Beware, once people start ‘getting their arm in’, you’ll need to be fast on your feet to dodge them. All the equipment needed for both activities is provided, and you’ll also have trained coaches at hand to referee the games so you can get on with the action.
 

If you were one of those who never picked up a trophy at school sports day, or were always two left feet when playing footie in the playground, then you’ll find a lot to love about this laugh-packed stag combo activity. First off, a session of Bubble Football. If you’ve never done this before, it’s hilarious. You’ll be strapped into giant inflatable balls with just your legs poking out, then play a ludicrous game of football where every tackle sends you and your opponent flying, only to bounce around completely unharmed. The hard bit is getting back up! 

After you’ve regained your sense of balance and had a quick breather, you’ll love an old-school Sports Day, where the group is divided into ‘Houses’ and then compete against each other in a series of classic games. Sack races, egg and spoon races, wheelbarrow races and of course that traditional favourite: the tug of war. This nostalgic activity is a big favourite with stag groups, letting you unleash your competitive nature in the daftest way possible.
