It may already be a firm favourite with stag parties, but the seaside town of Blackpool could now be even more appealing to revellers.
With tourism officials expecting a bumper summer this year, urban regeneration company ReBlackpool has refined the famous seafront by adding a brand-new beach.
Stag night revellers looking to shake off the inevitable hangover will now be able to relax and chill out on the 180-metre stretch of sand, which will stay open 24 hours a day.
Doug Garrett, chief executive of ReBlackpool, said the addition would also be perfect for those looking to enjoy a day of beach sports ahead of a big night on the tiles.
"This new beach will offer a unique opportunity to residents and visitors to enjoy the thrills and spills of beach volleyball, football and basketball regardless of whether the tide is in our out," he commented.
Blackpool stag parties this summer are guaranteed a good night out at the town's eclectic mix of busy bars and nightclubs.
Ranging from the stylish Sanuk - with its seven bars and five separate rooms - to the cool clubbers' paradise of The Syndicate, the resort offers something for everyone.
