The popularity of booking holidays online is increasing in Britain with 66% planning to do so this year.
Booking
stag holidays online has been the norm for quite some time, but all holidays are now increasingly being organised in this way as shoppers decide to steer clear of high street travel agents in 2009.
Almost two thirds of the 1,200 people surveyed by International homestay network Crashpadder.com said they are planning to book their break away online, an increase from the 2009 figure of 55%.
Meanwhile, 72% state that they plan to research their next holiday using online methods.
The research has also found that there is a rise in the popularity of holidaying in the UK, with 71% of those surveyed stating they did not plan to use their passport this year, up from 65% last year. This is presumably due to the unfavourable exchange rate.
