People planning a stag party in Bristol could be offered a helping hand courtesy of a new tourist guide to the area.
The Bristol Guide 2009 lists a variety of hotel packages and suggested itineraries designed to build on the city's reputation as a leading short-break destination.
It pinpoints some of Bristol's best attractions, including pubs, bars restaurants and shopping venues, while the guide's Bristol on a Budget section highlights some of the best low-cost accommodation and activities in the city.
Melanie Bruce-Roberts, marketing manager at Bristol's new shopping and leisure quarter Cabot Circus, said the guides provide a wealth of information and "truly showcase what Bristol has to offer".
"They make planning a trip and weekend stay to Bristol easy," she added.
According to research by Hotels.com, short breaks are becoming increasingly popular among UK tourists, with a 29 per cent increase in the number of people seeking single-night holidays over the last year.
