There is no need to go abroad to experience variety, the British Resorts & Destinations Association (BRDA) has suggested.
While many
organising a stag party choose foreign destinations to offer something different, the organisation feels the UK is diverse enough to offer an attractive alternative without heading to the continent or further afield.
According to BRDA director Peter Hampson, Britain is a good place to take day trips, short breaks or longer holidays.
"The great thing about the UK is that it is infinitely variable and it's a relatively small country. There is a huge variation and generally not more than three or four hours away," he added.
His comments follow a study by the Office for National Statistics which showed that the number of Brits making foreign trips abroad in the year to September fell by 14 per cent.
Meanwhile, visitor numbers to North America fell by 20 per cent from 4.7 million to 3.8 million.
