Traditional British stag parties might be renowned for their raucous activities, but it seems travellers from the UK do not forget their manners while they are away.
According to research by TripAdvisor, Brits are among the most "hotel-proud" tourists in Europe, taking greater steps than most other nationalities to uphold the cleanliness of their rooms.
The company surveyed more than 3,000 travellers, with UK guests proving more likely than their Spanish, Italian, French and German counterparts to carry out tasks such as making their own beds in the morning and hanging up their towels after use.
TripAdvisor spokesperson Luke Fredberg said: "The hotel-proud habits that many British travellers adopt would suggest that we are dream guests for housekeeping services around the world."
Despite topping the charts as some of the best trippers in Europe, Brits also emerged as the clumsiest holidaymakers, with UK travellers proving most likely to accidentally damage hotel property.
According to research by Hotels.com, British travellers are also among the most prone to racking up minibar tabs during their stay - something stag parties across the country are likely to have played a quite significant part in.
