Little can stand in the way of that much-anticipated stag night out for most UK revellers, but it seems an increasing number of Brits are letting work come between them and their holidays.
According to research by Expedia.co.uk, almost a quarter of employees in the UK revealed that they have had to cancel their break due to commitments in the workplace.
While jetting off for a booze-fuelled stag do overseas might not be the ideal method of rest and rejuvenation, workers have been urged not to let mounting work pressures put them off taking that well-earned break.
Head of product marketing at Expedia.co.uk Jonathan Cudworth said: "Now more than ever it is important to take time out - even if it is just for a few days."
This comes after recent research by the firm highlighted Slovakia and Latvia as two "unconventional" European countries that are fast becoming favourites with UK holidaymakers due to their good value for money.
