A stag weekend might be expected to centre on pubs and clubs rather than museums, so it is little wonder that boozy Brits spend more time drinking than sampling the local culture while away.
According to TripAdvisor, it is not just stag parties who spend their time abroad lounging in the sun and sinking pints.
British travellers in general spend longer sampling the local brew than any of their European counterparts and far less time exploring a destination's culture and architecture.
Luke Fredberg, a spokesperson for TripAdvisor, said: "Everyone has their own idea of what's fun and what's not and it looks like the Brits are pretty keen to spend a little bit more time drinking rather than doing the more cultural activities."
The study found that Brits spend just two hours and 17 minutes each day visiting museums or taking in the sights, compared with three hours and 28 minutes afforded for such activities by Spanish travellers.
UK tourists also spend an average of one hour and 38 minutes a day at the bar, with another two hours and 53 minutes spent topping up their tans by the pool.
