Nottingham stag weekends or holidays away over the next few months are likely to consider changing their holiday habits to help beat the credit crunch, it has been claimed.
Peter Joyner, spokesperson for holiday firm Hoseasons, said a combination of the weak pound and the wider effects of the economic crisis on budgets is likely to cause many to adapt their travel plans.
While stag parties can still make the most of the lively nightlife in UK cities such as Edinburgh, Newcastle and Nottingham, Brits might also consider alternative overseas destinations.
Mr Joyner said that people who are determined to leave Britain behind can avoid the effects of the rising euro by venturing further afield where the pound is stronger.
This might prove a popular option with those looking to make the most of their stag weekend celebrations without breaking the bank, with the cost of a holiday in Europe now a third more expensive than it was two years earlier.
