Those planning a cheap and cheerful stag weekend in Blackpool this year are sure to find plenty of entertainment - but the town may not be quite how they imagined it.
According to journalist Jacqui Thake, the seaside resort is still packed with great attractions, but has shaken off its tacky reputation thanks to a major regeneration project.
Writing for the Mirror, she said the days of run-down boarding houses are long gone, with plenty of high-class accommodation on offer.
Meanwhile, the famous Blackpool Tower and fun-packed Pleasure Beach are still major attractions - and rejuvenated bars now offer oysters and champagne as an upmarket treat.
"Blackpool's gone classy, without losing its sense of good old-fashioned fun," Ms Thake asserted.
The town is also home to a range of lively clubs, meaning stag night revellers are sure to be in their element.
Indeed, according to Get Wokingham writer Phil Creighton, the resort is awash with pubs and bars offering "drink deals galore" that will ensure any stag do "goes with a swing".
