Stag parties looking to make their pounds go further this year could consider Croatia as a viable alternative to more expensive eurozone countries.
The country has been tipped by Abta - The Travel Association as one of the main holiday hotspots for 2009 and could prove the ideal destination for those looking to celebrate their impending nuptials.
Meri Matesic, director of the Croatian National Tourist Office for the UK and Ireland, said the country has invested vast amounts of money over recent years to offer modern facilities and accommodation for tourists.
As a result, it offers "a choice for everyone", with a range of budget and luxury accommodation that might provide the ideal base-point for a heavy night at the variety of bars and clubs in the country.
"Croatia is out of the eurozone, and I think in this crisis, that is one of the advantages. Croatia has good value for money and it's always hot," Mr Matesic added.
