Edinburgh to host special market

Brits heading next month for a stag weekend in Edinburgh might notice that the Scottish capital is hosting a special Christmas market.

Taking place from December 17th to 22nd, the Glisten! Christmas Market is a celebration of Scottish creative talent.

Visitors can expect to see fashion, jewellery and artistry from painters and crafts experts from around Scotland, with everything from vintage clothing and books to collectibles and home-grown organic produce.

The stalls will be located in the city's famous Grassmarket area, which is popular among stag parties for its numerous watering holes, including Maggie Dickson's and Biddy Mulligans.

Grassmarket Area Traders' Association chairperson Fawns Reid explained that the market is a good chance for local artisans to display their wares and raise their profile.

"Glisten! is more than just a market, it is a celebration of Scottish talent and a great way to bring the community together at this special time of year," she said.

Ms Reid urged visitors to the city to attend and enjoy the atmosphere as they browse the array of items on offer.

Other areas of Edinburgh popular with stag parties include Lothian Road, which has a number of pubs and clubs in close vicinity.
