Edinburgh has topped a travel poll and it could be ideal for stag weekends in Scotland or elsewhere, due to its good transport links.
Travelodge recently conducted a survey to find out which places Britons would most like to visit before they die - and the city north of the border came out at number one.
Edinburgh council leader Jenny Dawe said the news was "great" and reinforces what people already know about the location.
She said not only is it a good destination in terms of living and working, but also works excellently as a getaway spot.
Indeed, it has something to offer everyone, Ms Dawe added.
"Historic buildings and great atmosphere, a vibrant leisure and retail offering, abundant green space, outstanding schools and universities - the list goes on."
Those who want some more options for their stag do could check out the Travelodge Bucket List, which saw Bath placed second and Liverpool third.
