Nottingham is one of the most popular destinations for a stag weekend, but it is not immediately obvious why. It is not a coastal resort, nor is it a modern metropolis or a particular hub of culture and entertainment.

So why do thousands of stags, and even more so hens, travel from around the country to celebrate their last weekend of freedom in Nottingham?

The main reason is the fantastic nightlife that is on offer in Nottingham, which is so vast and impressive that you feel the entire city has been built around providing an electric nightlife for party animals. It is therefore a surprise to see Nottingham functioning as normal during the day time.

The locals are not particularly crazy and obsessed with continual partying, but its students, and there are many of them, and the weekend visitors certainly are. With so many pubs and clubs to enjoy and such a good atmosphere to enjoy them in it is no wonder what lads come to Nottingham for more than just one night out. It is also why many come back again and again for stag dos, as it is hard to get bored of such a vibrant night life.
