Give the stag the "ultimate day out"

A UK company offering unique days out has suggested those on stag parties could treat the guest of honour to an F1 racing day.

Red Letter Days described it as the "ultimate day out", allowing the groom-to-be to drive a real Formula One race car.

It said the experience will be unforgettable, with dinner and overnight accommodation provided.

"Taking the concept of speed to a whole new level, the feeling of sitting in a real Formula 1 car and screaming round the track at unimaginable speeds is one of the most thrilling experiences you could ever imagine," the company stated.

The day involves a safety briefing, before those taking part get taken around the track in a sports saloon or hot hatch.

Following this, they are given the chance to drive a Porsche 911, F1 Ferrari or Formula Ford themselves, before the main experience of a number of laps in a former Formula One car.

Other racing options for stag weekends could be a trip to an event at one of the UK's tracks, such as Knockhill in Scotland or England's renowned Silverstone.
