Stag parties might be looking to travel on a budget this year in light of the financial climate, but they can still celebrate in some of Europe's top cities, according to one tourism expert.
Sian Williams, country manager UK for travel portal trivago, insisted that there are "some really good deals" on city-break trips to places such as London, Madrid and Rome, despite the economic gloom.
However, she suggested that those planning a stag do will have to take the time to research their travel plans if they are to find the bargain break they are after.
Ms William said that checking out different deals can lead to significant savings, with the cost of visiting a European country likely to fluctuate from one month to the next this year.
"People should really take this into account and look for the best deals and look for the right cities to visit in the right months," she advised.
According to the Post Office City Costs Barometer 2009, the Polish capital of Warsaw could be the ideal stag do destination this year, with the city among the cheapest in Europe for hotels, food and drink.
