For many young couples, nothing is likely to stand in the way of the perfect wedding night, but one groom-to-be was forced to compromise after double booking himself.
DJ Marc Barnes agreed to play at the Pam's House club night at the University of East Anglia, only to find that the event clashed with the night of his wedding, the Norwich Advertiser reports.
The 43-year-old succeeded in talking fiancee Caroline Gates into letting him honour both agreements on the condition that he was able to make it back to the 200 guests at their wedding reception by 02.30 GMT.
Mr Barnes said: "Danny Banthorpe, my friend who runs the Pam's House night, said that I should DJ there for my stag do, but it got moved, and Pam's was now the night of the wedding."
He added that the experience had been "something a bit different" but had passed off successfully.
This comes after a Driffield groom-to-be was forced to miss out on his own stag party after getting confused over check-in times and arriving late for his flight to Tallinn in Estonia.
