Increasing numbers of holidaymakers and people on stag weekends are opting to travel further afield for their breaks, it has been claimed.
According to the Association of British Travel Agents (Abta), more people are choosing to take vacations in destinations other than those in Western Europe.
Francis Tuke, a spokesperson for Abta, commented: "There are certain destinations that we are seeing doing particularly well this summer; Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia and places like Mexico and the Spanish Caribbean."
She explained that these locations offer good value for money, which could be welcome news for those planning an adventurous stag party on a budget.
Ms Tuke noted that there are a number of low-cost, all-inclusive offers available to those wanting to holiday in more exotic destinations.
According to a study conducted by Abta earlier this year, holidaying Brits value their trips overseas because they provide an opportunity to take a break from everyday worries and give them a chance to spend quality time with friends or family.
