Those planning a stag weekend in London may be interested to hear that the UK capital has been named in a top ten list of the best-value locations in the world.
According to Lonely Planet, the English city has become more tourist-friendly as a result of the economic downturn.
It listed it along with destinations such as Iceland, Mexico, Malaysia, India and Bulgaria as good choices for those on a budget.
UKinbound chief executive Mary Rance explained that the current exchange rates made the capital an especially good option for those visiting from abroad.
She said the currency differences should be promoted in order to attract more foreign tourists so that London can take full advantage of the recession.
"With investment from government in overseas marketing to raise awareness of the fantastic value currently on offer in Britain, we could ensure that this opportunity is not missed and that 2010 is a bumper year for inbound travel," she suggested.
The city hosts an array of activities that may interest stag parties, from paintball and go-karting to a visit to any number of its famous sports grounds.
