London restaurant honoured for gastronomic skills

Brits looking to enjoy a good meal as part of their stag weekend may be interested in the results of a recent competition.

The BT Visit London Award for Best Gastronomic Experience went to Richmond upon Thames boutique hotel, restaurant and bar Bingham.

It also scooped the prize for Small Hotel/B&B of the Year at the sixth annual award ceremony.

Paternoster Chop house and Vinopolis were each awarded silver and bronze respectively for the gastronomy category and could also provide ideal venues to begin a stag party in the capital.

Master of ceremonies at the event was Magic 105.4 More Music Breakfast star Neil Fox.

"London is the greatest city on earth and I am delighted to host this amazing awards event celebrating all the people and places that make the capital so special," he said.

The city has a number of entertainment venues that may interest stag parties, with numerous pubs and clubs dotted around areas such as Soho, Leicester Square and Covent Garden.
