Newquay has become a favourite stag night destination for many prospective grooms and the coastal resort could soon find its popularity rising further.
Air Southwest has launched a new twice-daily service from London City Airport to Plymouth and Newquay, which could spark a rise in the number of short-break visitors to the region.
Widely celebrated as the surf capital of the UK, the Cornish town offers plenty to do during the day, as well as a lively night scene, making it the ideal place for revellers to celebrate their final night of freedom.
The new flights, priced from just £29, might encourage an increasing number of Londoners to consider Newquay when planning their stag weekend away.
Air Southwest managing director Peter Davies said: "[This service] is ideal for London City customers looking to make the most of a short break in Cornwall and Devon without the high costs of the eurozone."
Newquay's range of chill-out beachside bars and traditional pubs have become nationally-renowned in recent years, with many of its nightclubs often frequented by Radio 1 DJs and other top guests.
