Norwich's stag night reputation might not stand alongside that of other major UK destinations, but the city still has plenty to offer, it would seem.
The Norwich Evening News is running a Do Different Do Norfolk campaign to promote Norwich's attractions and lure more tourists to the region in the coming months.
And while tourism officials are already anticipating a bumper summer, with the weak pound encouraging more UK tourists to holiday closer to home, the city is also keen to boost its growing reputation among stag night revellers.
Michael Nutt, managing director of Visit Norwich, said: "People on stag and hen parties are here to enjoy themselves and spend money in local pubs, restaurants and shops, which all helps the local economy."
Certainly, Norwich would appear to have just the right ingredients for a traditional booze-fuelled British stag do, with the city's Murderer's pub in Timber Hall recently named as one of the best bars around.
The drinking den was ranked the sixth-best bar in the world in a list compiled by Lonely Planet guides, the highest entry achieve by any UK establishment.
