Glasgow never used to have such a good time reputation for a vibrant nightlife, but things change and how we love it when things change. Glasgow stag weekends have gone from strength to strength to serve the good people with places to drink and party, and as the largest city in Scotland, it has no shortage of thirsty drinkers to please. From up market chains to independent ale houses you are bound to find plenty of locations to drink and with around 50 clubs, there's no shortage of places for you to get your groove on as well. Glasgow is renowned for its cosmopolitan cafes and was famously featured in the films Trainspotting, Beautiful Creatures and House of Mirth. Neither of these are really relevant to your stag weekend, but may come in handy in a future pub quiz... so remember these free bits of advice! To give you an idea of how up and coming Glasgow is, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges are looking to open shop there. I have this on authority from the girls in the office who apparently tell me this very important...
Glasgow is also set in some amazing countryside, and this is where we come to the other great part of Glasgow – the day time stag do activities we can offer there. Along with paintballing, karting, clays, Quad Trekking is one of the most asked for day time activities. Trade in your sensible Ford for a while and get on one of these bad boy all terrain vehicles (or ATVs for those in the know). We've selected a course in Glasgow that is accessible for absolute beginners but provides enough challenges for those looking to push their quad bike to its limits. You get all your helmets and safety clothing and we've even picked a place with a club house that has showers so you can scrub down afterwards and get ready to take on the Glasgow nightlife.
What used to be just a farmer's secret delight (we're still talking about quads here) is now accessible to all. These machines were favoured on farms because of their ability to tackle the untamed agricultural land. They can reach some hefty speeds and the thick tyred four wheels means that navigating the twists, turns and inclines of the track is made easy. You'll get a real kick seeing what these quad bikes can do, it's great for a stag weekend activity and when you've had your fun by day, Glasgow awaits to take care of you in the evening.
