Restaurant proves popular with stag parties

Those planning a stag night that offers a throwback to their younger days could find just what they are after at a Darlington restaurant.

Joegio's Italian restaurant in Northgate is proving popular with revellers of all ages - because it boasts a soft play area that is not just limited to use by children.

Indeed, according to the Northern Echo, one OAP recently celebrated her 90th birthday by climbing and clambering her way through the variety of obstacles - and she is not the only big kid to give it a try.

Linda Forster, who works at the restaurant, said: "We do get a range of parties, including older birthday parties, hen nights and stag parties."

The idea may provide just the ticket for those planning a stag night with a difference in the coming months.

Indeed, it seems many couples are reluctant to ditch the child's play even after they have tied the knot, with a recent report by department store John Lewis revealing that the Nintendo Wii now features ahead of essentials such as crockery or bed linen on wedding gift lists.
