Newlyweds across the country may feel better for knowing that the wedding day jitters can get to everyone.
Double Olympic gold medallist Sarah Webb has proved that she can hold her nerve on the very biggest of stages, but the sailing star admitted that she wasn't quite so cool on her big day.
Webb, who took gold in the Yngling sailing class in both Athens and Beijing, conceded that walking down the aisle was decidedly more nerve-racking than performing in the Olympic final.
After marrying Adam Gosling at The Church of Immaculate Conception in Mayfair, London, she said she had struggled to fight back her feelings during the ceremony.
"The emotion really hit me walking down the aisle at the church but I held it together. We had a wonderful day," she commented.
Of course, some couples are far from nervous on their wedding day, with the Sun reporting a new marryoke craze that is sweeping the nation.
This involves the groom and bride being joined by their wedding guests to provide a musical keepsake of the big day by acting out their favourite song to camera.
