As part of Scotland's year-long Homecoming celebration, the country's whisky regions are running a unique range of events to honour its national drink.
Whisky Month will include a number of festivals, tours and tastings that could be perfect for those looking to spend their last night of freedom sampling the famous tipple.
The events will also feature a variety of leisure activities to keep the party entertained all weekend, including golf, sport and outdoor activities.
Gavin Hewitt, chief executive of the Scotch Whisky Association, said: "Whisky Month in May is the perfect time to visit Scotland, the home of whisky. An exciting programme of distillery and festival events awaits our visitors."
According to research by Hotels.com, Scotland has proved a popular destination with UK tourists seeking single-night holidays over the last year, with the number of visitors to the capital city of Edinburgh up 82 per cent.
