Next week we will all become a little bit Irish for a day as we take it upon ourselves to celebrate St Patrick's Day by drinking a pint of Guinness or two. It has become accepted that the one patron saint day we celebrate is St Patrick's, presumably as it is associated with spending most of the day in the pub drinking. We really just need any excuse don't we. However, the best place to celebrate St Patrick's Day has to be in Dublin, where it is true that the Guinness tastes even better. The Irish capital is also a superb destination for a stag do, all year round. It is short notice to be plugging a stag weekend in Dublin in time for Wednesday's St Patrick's Day celebrations, but do not rule out visiting this amazing capital for a wild last weekend of freedom. Dublin is hope to hundreds of fabulous bars where you can witness the legendary 'craic' which does need to be experienced to be understood. Friendly locals, lovely beers and live music is just a flavour of what you can expect on a stag weekend in Dublin, but in the peak season this can be a busy place to deal with, so if you want the Irish experience without the tourist feeling you could consider a Galway stag weekend. One advantage of flying over to Ireland for a stag do is you get the interest of going abroad, as you will be dealing with those euros, but you can still make your way around at ease, although after a few beers the locals can be hard to understand.
