A survey has discovered that £300million is spent by Britons on stag and hen nights each year.
It has also been discovered that men spend twice as much of their last weekend of freedom than women with some parties lasting a week and costing more than £500 per person.
The figures emerged from a survey of 600 people by Teletext Holidays, which found the average cost of a stag night was £215, compared with £106 for a hen do.
The study showed London, Blackpool and Edinburgh were the most popular destinations, although our own study of stag and
hen parties had Bournemouth as the number one destination.
The study also showed that 5% of
stag weekends last a whole week and we take our hats off to the lads that secured permission from their other halves to do such a thing.
Marc Bell, director of marketing at Teletext, said: "Those of us who have been on stag or hen dos recently will have found that they are becoming more of a mini-holiday than a night out."
