People planning a stag weekend away in the coming months might be looking to tighten the purse strings, but there are still plenty of deals available at "decent prices", it has been claimed.
According to a poll by travelsupermarket.com, nine in ten Brits are cutting their holiday budgets this year as a result of the economic strife, while 30 per cent are considering cancelling their breaks altogether.
However, those looking forward to a booze-fuelled break to celebrate their impending nuptials should not give up hope of securing a holiday at a bargain price.
Travel expert at travelsupermarket.com Bob Atkinson said Brits should reconsider plans to cancel and simply carry out more research to ensure they can still afford that all-important weekend away.
"There is plenty of availability about with decent prices to a range of destinations where the capacity is there and it needs to be sold," he commented.
He added that those looking for a late deal within the next six to eight weeks could snap up a holiday from as little as £99.
