Stag night in Las Vegas for United soccer ace

The stag night of a professional footballer is always likely to be a lavish affair, and Manchester United star Wes Brown certainly showed no signs of holding back.

Fresh from celebrating his side's title win, the defender jetted off to Las Vegas for an upmarket stag night in one of the city's top nightclubs, the Spoiler reports.

While most stag parties may be looking to slash the cost of their celebrations during the recession, Brown was happy to splash the cash at casinos, pubs and clubs across the region.

Dressed in the red, white and black of Manchester United, the high-profile stag enjoyed an evening of private dining, before partying the night away in the VIP area of super-cool nightclub Lavo.

The United and England star will wed 32-year-old fiancee Leanne Wassell later this month at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire.

Brown plans to wow guests at the wedding by employing a trained barn owl to swoop down with the rings in a leather pouch - a stunt that teammate Rio Ferdinand will also include in his ceremony this summer.
