People planning a stag weekend overseas have been urged to plan ahead and do their homework to ensure they get the most booze for their bucks.
With budget flights booked and cheap hotels sorted, some may be tempted to sit back and look forward to their stag night activities - but one expert has warned travellers that the planning does not stop there.
Stephen Heath, chief executive of internet-based currency exchange business FairFX, urged people to make sure they shop around for the best exchange rates before jetting off overseas to ensure they do not get stung.
"Part of the problem is that people don't understand exchange rates," he explained.
"The issue is that the underlying price is moving around all the time so it makes the comparison a lot more difficult."
And with research by Which? Money published earlier this month revealing that airport currency providers are among the most expensive, Mr Heath warned tourists not to leave things to the last minute.
"What we're saying is plan ahead," he urged.
