Set on the south coast of Hampshire, Southampton is a smart city with a great reputation for a night out. Its university means there are plenty of pubs and clubs to quench the thirst of the whipper snappers as well as the young professional crowd in the city. With Brighton on one side and Bournemouth the other, you may have overlooked this as a coastal party resort, but more fool you if you do because it can offer some cracking nightlife as well as some great activity centres. In fact we're seeing more people ask for a stag night in Southampton so we thought we'd give you the lowdown on this top notch city.
As a major port, it means Southampton has to have good access to the motorways which means it's going to be pretty easy for you to arrange to meet the guys here. Linking the south is the M27 if you're coming from the south coast of England, and the M3 will link you to London as well as the north. There are also very regular trains running with easy access from London, through to Bournemouth and along the coast as well as up to the Midlands and the north.
We've got some excellent stag weekend activities in Southampton. Why not take advantage of this brilliant port and get out onto the water. If you're never experienced a RIB Blast or Vortex racing then all we can say is that expect to go very fast on the water in these brilliant boats, hang on to your hats and take a spare pair of underwear. If you want to keep things classic then we have all the activities you have come to know and love on a stag weekend from five-a-side football, to golfing and indoor karting as well as more. If you want something a bit more complete, then why not check out some of our packages which include central accommodation, a daytime activity as well as nightclub, casino and lap dancing entry. Phew!
Well aside from the casino, nightclubs and lap dancing you're going to have some time to take in the delightful pubs of Southampton. Head along the High Street and you'll find your popular watering holes. There's the Oasis Bar, The Red Lion, Walkabout inn and Bar Risa just to name a few. Keep heading up the High Street and the name aptly changes to Above Bar Street. Here' you'll find your recognisable chain bars where you know what you're getting. From the Slug and Lettuce, to Yate's Wine Bar you know the type of pubs you can find along here and it's up to you whether you use that information to take your stag group there or avoid at all costs! For nightclubs you can stick to the same area and you'll come across places like Flares, the Soul Cellar 78 and the Whitehouse Nightclub. Wherever you wander you won't be stuck for somewhere to go!
