A full-blown weekend of stag do celebrations might not seem like the most effective way to recharge the batteries, but getting away for a few days could help boost productivity at work, it has been claimed.
Jonathan Cudworth, head of product marketing at online travel company Expedia.co.uk, said holidays are an important factor in contributing to a "happy and productive workplace".
With the credit crunch affecting businesses across the UK and many employees also feeling the strain, he suggested that a short break away is vital to help lift spirits.
"Simply taking even just a few days away from the office will enable you to be more productive when you get back to work," he commented.
Mr Cudworth added that those looking to take a holiday without breaking the bank can find a number of "great value holiday options" here in the UK, with cities such as
Newcastle stag parties and
Nottingham stag parties offering plenty to do.
This comes after a report by internet travel company On the Beach revealed that an increasing number of Brits are looking to cut back on holiday costs this year by downgrading their hotel and taking shorter breaks.
