The UK offers "everything that people could want" for a top holiday experience, a tourism official has claimed.
Philip Green, chairman of UKinbound, said Britain's great culture and variety mean it has something for everyone, with idyllic countryside retreats as well as lively major towns.
People looking to plan their stag nights in the coming months could opt to trawl the bars of UK cities such as Liverpool, Newcastle and Brighton rather than head overseas.
While such destinations may not be able to offer "phenomenal weather", they still boast a number of "fantastic sites", as well as leading the way in terms of fashion and sport, said Mr Green.
"We are innovative, we are developing restaurants and dining experiences. Everything that people could want is available here in the UK," he commented.
Tourism officials across Britain are readying themselves for a busy summer, with the weakening value of the pound and the continuing effects of the credit crunch likely to mean that many UK holidaymakers stay closer to home this year.
