Men thinking about leaving the UK for their stag weekend may change their mind after figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) showed that holiday visits to Britain increased in the year to September.
The number of trips taken abroad by Brits also declined by 14 per cent during the same period, the ONS figures revealed.
According to Association of Independent Travel Operators executive director Kate Kenward, the UK currently offers value for money when compared with continental destinations.
"Our sterling is currently much less expensive than the euro used in much of mainland Europe," she said.
Ms Kenward added that the UK has a lot to offer, including "great countryside and dramatic terrain", which is counterbalanced by "modern and cosmopolitan" cities such as London.
Other popular stag party destinations include Glasgow stag do, Bristol, Newcastle, Brighton and Edinburgh.
While each of the above cities has a plethora of bars and clubs, they also offer alternative activities such as paintball and climbing.
