A boozy stag weekend away might provide plenty to look forward to, but footballer Barry Fuller has been given added reason to celebrate ahead of his impending nuptials.
The Gillingham captain will jet off to Magaluf for his stag do this summer, before tying the knot with partner Laura during a ceremony in Jamaica, the Mirror reports.
And the defender is sure to be in high spirits after his side secured a last-minute playoff victory over Shrewsbury Town at Wembley to secure promotion to League One at the weekend.
Fuller said: "My missus and my kids, Evie and Gracie, are my life. Everything I do in football is for them."
"To get married after winning this game, what more can a man ask for?" he added.
While the Gillingham skipper can look forward to his summer wedding safe in the knowledge that his side will be playing League One football next season, the result will leave Shrewsbury fans and players disappointed.
Ex-Shrewsbury player Dave Edwards revealed last week that he was "gutted" to miss out on the trip to Wembley to watch his former team after the game clashed with his brother's stag do in Prague, the Shropshire Star reported.
