Nicknamed the island of eternal spring, Tenerife has unbelievable weather all year round and beautiful beaches, making you wish you stayed here forever and never went back home. If this is your destination of choice for your wild send-off, then your next steps are to find the ideal activities and book your accommodation, both of which we can help with.
When it comes to embarking on an unforgettable stag do in Tenerife, the island's efficient and convenient public transport system is a great travel companion. From the moment you touch down at Tenerife's airport, getting around becomes a breeze, ensuring your stag group experiences a seamless and enjoyable escapade. Upon arriving at Tenerife's airport, you'll find loads of transportation options at your fingertips. Buses and taxis are readily available to whisk you away to your accommodations and kickstart your celebrations. The island's bus network, operated by TITSA, offers an affordable and well-connected mode of transportation, allowing your group to effortlessly explore Tenerife's vibrant cities, gorgeous beaches and lively nightlife.
For those seeking added convenience and flexibility, taxis provide a direct route to your destination, ensuring you arrive in style and comfort. Whether you're headed to the bustling Playa de las Américas or the charming streets of Puerto de la Cruz, taxis are a hassle-free way to navigate the island. From the vibrant coastal areas to the picturesque mountain villages, Tenerife's public transport ensures your stag do group can revel in every corner of this beautiful destination. So, whether you're sunbathing on the golden sands or dancing the night away, Tenerife's transportation network ensures your stag do memories are packed with fun and adventure.
For the ultimate convenience and flexibility, consider hiring a car for your stag do escapades. While the city offers public transportation options, having a car grants you the freedom to explore every corner at your own pace. Imagine cruising along the stunning coastal roads, reaching hidden gems, and ensuring everyone's comfort throughout the day and night.
Parking in the Tenerife city centre is manageable, but it's important to plan ahead. Opt for centrally located car parks and keep in mind that availability might vary during peak hours, so arriving early can be your best bet. Having a hire car isn’t essential but means you can venture beyond the hustle and bustle of the city centre, exploring picturesque landscapes and seeing more of Tenerife. Whether it's beachside relaxation, adrenaline-pumping water sports or exploring charming villages, having a car opens up a world of possibilities.
Choosing the perfect pad for your squad is a critical mission, and fear not, we've got the best types of accommodation to make your trip unforgettable. Hotels are the classic choice for comfort and convenience. From luxurious suites to budget-friendly options, hotels offer amenities like room service and on-site bars. Perfect for those who want a touch of pampering amidst the party. Ideal for the social butterflies of the group. Hostels not only save you a few quid but also provide a lively atmosphere to meet fellow travellers. Be ready to share tales and tequila shots with newfound friends.
Self-catering apartments in Tenerife are the ultimate jackpot for stag groups. Imagine kitchens for whipping up a hearty pre-party meal, cosy living spaces for bonding and laughing and the coveted privacy to unleash your inner party animals without any judgmental eyes. These apartments are like your own personal party hub, providing the perfect blend of home comforts and a lively holiday atmosphere. Plus, the freedom to tailor your own schedule and celebrate in your own style is simply priceless.
Some may be, it's best to ask one of our experts and let them know what is important to you for your booking. If you plan on doing some hikes then you might want to be in a more scenic setting, however if you plan on heading out to the nightclubs in the evening then this might not be the best spot for you, so we can work around what you need and where your priorities are.
Tenerife is known to have mild weather throughout the year, making it a great spot regardless of the month you pick. Obviously, peak season is during the school holidays, when hotel prices tend to be higher, so if you're looking for a bargain, it might be cheaper if you opt for midweek or not during a school break. High Season is considered to be early June and then right through until the end of September, reaching a peak in August, with temperatures around 29 degrees.
Tenerife has a low level of crime, but obviously we would always recommend erring on the side of caution, especially against potential pick-pockets, which is true for any destination. We expect the stag party to get pretty messy, it's what is supposed to happen, but everyone should be looking out for each other, ensuring people get back to their rooms safely and don't end up in a bush or sleeping in the club toilets. We would also recommend not leaving items in a car if you hire one out, as they might be broken into and swiped away, which can put a downer on your holiday, so try not to leave anything of value on display or easy to access.
For accommodation, it's predominantly apartments and hotels, while opting for one with a swimming pool is always going to be a priority for some members of the stag group, even if you end up outside the whole time doing activitiesIn regards to activities, the Utopia booze cruise is hugely popular. I mean, what better way to spend your weekend than on a party boat, with unlimited beer and a DJ playing, floating along the coastline with your best mates. If they love to get outside and get the adrenaline going, then quad biking might be a great day time option. The four hour experience will take you to the volcanic rock formations, where you can take it all in, combining a little bit of culture, some amazing fun and something to do before the drinks start back up again. Of course, for a staple, you could always opt for the water park, as long as everyone in the group is comfortable in water. The unbelievable slides will leave you all laughing with joy as you fly down at electric pace. If someone doesn't fancy going fast, they can float along the river on a rubber dingy.
Once you've left your Tenerife stag hotel, you might want to grab some lunch or dinner in town, while there are plenty of options available. Either way, it's worth getting something booked in advance, especially if you have a large group size, but again, this is something we can help with, working with venues that are ok with large stag groups arriving. Trust us, you don't want to turn up without checking. You could go for a 3 course Italian meal, coming with a welcome drink, or you could try some American grub from Hard Rock Cafe. If you're looking to leave a tip, the traditional amount is between 5-10%, but it's also not considered rude if you don't leave one. That makes a change!
We work with hotels that accept stag groups, therefore they will normally be fine with fancy dress, but be conscious about whether your fancy dress is a bit of a laugh or offensive. If it's a chicken costume, we can't see anyone giving you a fuss, but if it's a little naughty, maybe leave it until you've checked in.
Make sure to pack some sun tan lotion, plus remind all the other lads, as you know 90% of them will forget. The sun is scorching hot all year round and you may find yourself sat at a bar in the sun for extended periods of the weekend, so you want to make sure you're fully covered up with SPF, otherwise you may have a very uncomfortable nights sleep. Well, if you get any sleep!
